Does anyone else feel like January 2025 was the longest January ever? Between the endless early sunsets, the revolving door of sicknesses, and that frigid winter chill, it’s safe to say we’ve all earned a fresh start. Luckily, February is here, and I’m declaring it the season of heart—a time to focus on heart health, moving often, and loving hard.

Your heart is one of the most important muscles in your body, and keeping it strong and healthy requires variety. That’s why we’re offering a range of heart-healthy conditioning opportunities at KG Strong, from slow, steady endurance activities like our Sunday Run Club to team-based cardio challenges like Philly Spin-In. And we’re especially excited to highlight our newest offering: Momentum Class, a 40-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) class designed for busy parents and professionals alike.

What makes this class even better? While you’re getting your sweat on, your kids can get their own workout in—Gymnastics classes are happening right upstairs at In Movement. It’s a win-win for the whole family!

But why is heart-focused conditioning so important? Research shows that mixing up the duration and intensity of your cardiovascular training improves overall fitness and can help you live longer. Adding variety to your workouts—whether through steady-state cardio, short bursts of HIIT, or anything in between—keeps your heart adaptable, strong, and ready for whatever life throws your way.

And speaking of heart health, did you know that loving relationships are good for your heart too? Studies have found that people with strong, supportive connections tend to have healthier hearts. So this February, the season of love, we encourage you to prioritize both your physical health and the relationships that bring you joy.

Come train with us, try Momentum Class, and let’s keep our hearts—and our community—strong together.
