This month we’re celebrating a huge milestone at KG Strong—the 10th anniversary of our Rooftop Yoga program! What started as a single community event a decade ago has blossomed into one of our most beloved traditions. Rooftop Yoga not only complements our strength training programs but also highlights our core belief: strength, resilience, and connection are built over time and through every season of life.

Over the years, I’ve been inspired again and again by our clients, who show up and adapt their practice to fit the unique seasons they’re navigating. Strength training isn’t just about lifting weights; it’s about building a body and mind that can fully enjoy life beyond the gym.

One recent participant in our Strong Mom program beautifully illustrated this. She initially joined feeling disconnected from her body, battling anxiety, and struggling with self-image after becoming a mom. Through consistent training alongside other supportive mothers, she’s rediscovered her strength, becoming more grounded and confident each session.

In our perimenopause strength group, a client recently shared an incredible achievement: during a family hike, she comfortably carried her five-year-old for five miles in a hiking carrier. She credits this feat to her dedicated strength training, highlighting how essential it is to prepare our bodies for life’s adventures.

We’ve also celebrated clients who’ve trained through their pregnancies. Several have told us their doctors and midwives were amazed by their strength and endurance during labor—a powerful testament to the benefits of consistent strength training and mindful movement.

And just last week, a private training client—a father of three young kids—shared how sticking with our kettlebell program has allowed him to stay pain-free and even improved his running distances. His story is a reminder that strength training supports our daily lives, enhancing everything we do.

At KG Strong, our goal is simple: to help you build a foundation of strength and mobility so you can thrive in activities you love. Rooftop Yoga is a perfect complement to strength training, offering balance, flexibility, and mindful practice that supports both physical and mental freedom.

As we step into warmer months, we’re excited for more outdoor adventures—especially celebrating 10 years together on the rooftop. Here’s to another season of strength, community, and growth!

See you in the studio, on the mat (and under the sky), Katie
